African Cichlids- Haps/Peacocks

Haps and Peacock African Cichlids are some of the most colorful fish in the freshwater hobby. You can find them in almost any color you'd like. Here's a few tips to keeping them:

Only Males have the color - While there are a few exceptions, the males of these species will have the most color while the females tend to be more silverish. 

Alot won't get their true color until a minimum of 3" - Most of the time you won't be able to tell color of most until they are at least 3", with some taking to almost 5" to start showing color.
